| 1922 | Began his self-taught photographic career at the State Office for Monument Maintenance in Stuttgart |
| 1927 | Opened his own atelier. Established himself through his Bauhaus inspired furniture, porcelain and glass photographs as a widely sought-after object photographer. |
| 1937 | Photographed for the Federation, even continuing his work through WWII. |
| 1946 | With a contract from Bauknecht, he began his post-war career giving him the opportunity to document German design and history in the 50’s and 60’s. |
