When water becomes the canvas, the artistic process takes on a different rhythm. We spent a day with Serkan Altinoz in New York, exploring what fuels his creativity and keeps his flow in motion. A rare look behind the scenes of a rising star.

Serkan Altinoz — 11 AM – 2PM

Commuting through Brooklyn by bike, stopping at my favorite coffee shop between my apartment and the studio. This is my time for mental alignment, so- cial media curation, answering emails, and planning the day's workflow over coffee.

2PM – 5PM

The technical foundation: Studio "tuning." Focus on the technical side: digital design work, stencil cut- ting, and tool organization. Setting this foundation is crucial for me to flow later.

5PM – 9PM

A critical transition before the painting phase. I prepare the pigments and water one last time. When it is hard to find my focus, playing bass or listening to music helps me center myself.

10PM – 4AM

Nocturnal "Locked In" Phase: This is when the real work happens. When the city goes quiet, I'm "locked in" with the water and paints, often until 3 or 4 AM. This nocturnal solitude is essential for me – it's just me and the fluid movement, collaborating in total focus.
